Practicing for the Big Flop

My apologies for the break in postings. I normally try to update the blog on Sunday mornings but if we are busy I tend to forget to update it. Now that I have made my excuses here are updates for the last month.

A little bit about Jack now:

Favorite toy- purple elephant
Cutest of cute moments- giggles in his sleep, loves his feet to be touched, ticklish armpits
Favorite mannerisms- talking, big stretch, smiles
What strangers say about Jack- 'he is so alert', 'he is so cute', 'look at those beautiful blue eyes', 'that drool means he's teething'
Greatest demand- input, input, input; "take me for a walk, wear me (facing out preferably), take me shopping but please don't leave me in one spot"
Current game- Patrick blows on Jack's face and it startles and then amuses him (and us) greatly
Newest discovery- Toes! He can find them sitting or lying down now
Meal times- Jack has taken to entertaining himself by talking/humming while eating and now is getting easily distracted
Greatest indignities- putting arms and head through clothing, boredom, slow reaction time to 'requests'
Next big project- rolling over; below is some footage of his beginning attempts

Mother's Day

Mom and Dad came to visit the weekend of Mother's Day. Patrick and I took the opportunity for free babysitting and went to the movies for our first official date since Jack's arrival. We were giddy as high schoolers. On Mother's Day the gentlemen made us ladies breakfast and we even took some time to go shopping and cruise on our bikes. And of course squeeze on lovely Jack. Ah, the life!

Herinkxs Visit

Crystal, Carson and Austen came down to Bend to visit and to help me celebrate my 35th birthday. The weather was sporadic yet lovely (even gettting snow in the mornings). Lots of walks were taken and dominoes played.

Photo Shoot

We got Jack's first professional photos done the day before Easter. Below is the link to the photos. (Once the final touch-ups are done, we will print off copies to share.) Thanks Jesse, for great photos.

Easter

We got to spend Easter with the Jordans and Becky and Beau's house in Lowell. It was a lot of fun, especially to watch the kids on the egg hunt. Below are some pictures from the day, if you would like to see more (and better!) photos check out Becky's blog.
