Heading Home with Jack

On Tuesday, January 25th, we got to leave the hospital and take Jack home. He did so well and we all sighed a huge sigh of relief to be home together.

Our final moments before leaving the hospital.

Ahhh. Doesn't he look teeny?

Outside of our home. It was a beautiful, sunny day to greet Jack.

We gave Jack is first sponge bath to get the hospital grime off. He did great!

Jack's First 24 Hours

We were fortunate to have a family come visit to celebrate in the joy of meeting Jack!

Becky gets to finally try out her new title as 'Aunt Becky'- and it suits her perfectly!

Uncle Beau holds Jack after Hazel had a chance to. Hazel was excited about Jack and asked when he was going home with them.

After much waiting for the day to come, Aunt Crystal gets her first squeezes in. Jack approved!

Patrick and Liz join forces in a diaper change.

Patrick with his parents and his lovely son. A very proud and happy dad.

Patrick and I admire our beautiful, little son.

Jack is born!- January 22nd

After 41 hours of labor, Jack Noble Jordan arrived today, Saturday, January 22nd, at 7:41am via cesarean. He weighed in at 8 lbs, 5 ozs and 20 3/4 inches long. He has light brown hair and is absolutely gorgeous and healthy. We are overwhelmed with love for him.

Heading to the Hospital- January 20th

On our Wednesday appointment, our doctor felt that the time to schedule an induction had arrived since we were now almost two weeks past our due date. We were disappointed that labor had not happened naturally but wanted to be sure that the Little One would arrive healthy. We called the family, double checked our bags and prepared to head in to begin induction on Thursday at noon.

A final photo of Patrick and I before we head into the hospital to go from 'us'- the couple, to 'us'- the family.

Patrick and I at the beginning of labor- feeling hopeful!

Crystal and Mom were able to make it down Thursday afternoon to help support us as labor began and to be there for when the baby arrived. Patrick's parents, Liz and John, were close behind.

Yup, we are still pregnant.

No, we are not intentionally stalling.
It is now January 17th and we are now eight days past our due date. We were hanging in there pretty well until Friday and now we seem to fluctuate between moments of acceptance and impatience.

This a photo of our friend Cate and me last Saturday (She was due on Wednesday). We swore that the next time we met up we would either do it at the hospital or with our babies. We met up on Saturday and waddled over for another pre-baby breakfast social.

It looks like you're running out of room...

Here is my post-due date belly where I thought we would see if we could capture some movement. The little one quickly complied.

Due Date!

Today is our due date! It is a beautiful sunny and crisp day and I woke up feeling very well rested and peaceful. I don't think today is 'the day' but it is exciting to realize that our baby will be with us very soon now. Our next appointment with our doctor is Wednesday so if nothing happens before, we will have an update to report then. Thanks for all the love being sent our way!
