Hi all,
As we are making our plans for our wedding, we realize that you too may want to make some plans of things to do while in the Portland area. Below we have listed a few things spots/activities that may be fun to do while in the City of Roses.
THINGS TO DO IN PORTLAND
Saturday Market-
Spend some time with the “Keep Portland Weird” sect and find some fun knickknacks (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).

Powell’s Bookstore-
Nerd alert! This is the biggest independent bookstore in the country. (You can also sell your used books here.) We love it.

PGE Park-
Enjoy a fun time at a baseball game in Portland- before it becomes a soccer stadium.

If you need a doughnut almost any hour of the day, this place is insanely popular. And they perform weddings.

Jake’s Famous Crawfish-
a landmark place in Portland for great seafood. Do it during happy hour (4-6) and you can have all the expensive food for cheap!

Golf-
If you are a golfer, you have a lot of great choices here! (Our wedding is held right next to one in fact.)

Portland Underground Tours-
We have yet to do this, but think it would be cool to see the Chinese underground chambers.

Brew Pub Theatres-
$3 movies where you can get a full meal and a beer while enjoying the show. The Laurelhurst Theatre is our favorite but there are many to choose from.

Kayaking-
Portland Kayaking Company would guide you for three hours on a fun trip on the Willamette River. Lots of fun!

Shopping-
you have many choices! For upscale, go to the Pearl District. Looking for the our major shopping center? Pioneer Place. Unique? Go to NW 23rd Street or NE Alberta.
Piazza Italia-
We love this place for good Italian food, with an environment that is truely Italian.

Oba Restaurant-
If you would like somthing a little different Oba's serves Cuban inspired food.

Oregon's Breweries-
Portland is known for having more breweries than any other city in the nation. If interested, you can go on brewery tour or just taste the beers at the local brewpub.

Oregon Coast-
We would be negligent if we did not mention that we are only an hour-ish from the lovely Oregon Coast. Our favorite (and closest) coastal town is Cannon Beach.
