Dear family and friends,
A sincere thanks to all of you for participating in the most wonderful day of our lives! We were blessed with dear family and friends in attendance, beautiful weather and great food. We are still in awe of what a wonderful day we had. Thank you! Below are some pictures from the day (we would love to add the photos that you also have).

Much love and appreciation,

A little nerve-racking

Yesterday morning Mom began to experience excruciating painful back and abdominal pain. By 10:00AM it became apparent that this was no flu and the ambulance whisked her off to St. Vincent. The early diagnosis was unclear. Gallbladder, kidney, appendix? After running blood work and receiving a CAT scan the doctor diagnosed a softball-size mass behind her ovary that would have to be removed within the week.

The hospital brought in the on-call specialist who was able to arrange for Mom to have surgery that night (which would also determine what they were working with). The post-surgery news was great! It was not a mass (which connotes words like cancer) but instead was an "ovarian torsion"- basically the ovary had twisted. And because Mom is an overachiever, it was twisted five times. A personal record for the surgeon who said he definitely would have been screaming "Uncle" after the third.

Mom will be out of the hospital today and has been told that she is to TAKE IT EASY for the next two weeks. This week she is not to work or drive and so we will all be working to keep her honest:) We are so grateful that she is alright and is already on the mends.

Much love,
Bonnie
